With its second edition, PHOTOPIA has already established itself as the central, new imaging event in Germany. The secret of its success: a perfect mix of community festival, keynotes, exhibitions and conferences, which has made it a "jour fixe" for users, trade, press and producers in a very short time. PHOTOPIA will surely continue this success story and bring together the national and international imaging scene in Hamburg in the future. We are already looking forward to the next PHOTOPIA in 2023.

RAINER FÜHRES,
Senior Managing Director & CEO - Canon Deutschland

PHOTOPIA's bold vision immediately resonated with us and confirmed us deep down. DJI firmly believes that even in the innovation-dense industry of imaging, there is still a lot that can be done. You just have to dare to make the unexpected possible. That's what PHOTOPIA does. That's what we do with every product exhibited there. Our motto this year, "Imaging Never Stops", is therefore made for this festival. We are very excited to experience the future of imaging together with PHOTOPIA and the visitors.

FELIX DÜRICHEN,
Head of Design Europe, DJI

Thank you very much, PHOTOPIA, for the courage to realise this successful, refreshing Imaging event despite the continuing social distancing rules imposed by the pandemic! We truly enjoyed being part of this debut, presenting our latest products and innovative technologies on site, and sharing views and experiences with many artists as well as photo and video enthusiasts.

FREDERIK LANGE,
Business Head Digital Imaging Sony Deutschland

Even though digital event formats have proven to be very successful due to the COVID-19 pandemic, physical photo and imaging industry events such as PHOTOPIA naturally create a different brand proximity for photo fans. Only at in-person events can product be felt in one's hand and their quality thus made tangible. Another important aspect is, of course, the interpersonal component. Technical discussions among photo fans or with representatives of their favorite brand simply promise a different depth and convey a stronger sense of community. Events like PHOTOPIA are still simply important platforms for professional and amateur photographers to talk to like-minded people and exchange ideas.

GABRIELE BÄTER,
Manager Events & Trade Marketing, Nikon Germany

Porträt Falk Friedrich, Geschäftsführer Leica Camera Deutschland

PHOTOPIA was a great success for us this year because we were able to meet our valued users, press representatives, professional photographers, trade partners as well as associations and industry representatives. The event in general offers people interested in photography space to try out new creative ideas and creates multiple opportunities for exchange - from expert know-how live to community platform online - hybrid and modern. In addition, there were also well-attended presentations by Leica photographers - for us, that makes it all round - like our Leica logo. Next year, we will further expand our presence.

FALK FRIEDRICH,
Managing Director Leica Camera Deutschland

We are looking forward to an interesting fair with an innovative concept, which particularly focuses on enthusiasm for photography.

Robert Kruppa,
General Manager SIGMA

We are very satisfied. The set up is very nice, you can see that a lot of love has flowed into it. Our concept of consultation, exchange and lectures has worked well. We are happy to be here and to meet our customers directly again and have had a lot of good conversations.

SVEN DIEGEL,

PHOTOPIA Hamburg has successfully demonstrated the importance of these community events for our industry as places of interaction between manufacturers, retailers, the media, and most importantly, the individual end customer. We are glad to have been an active contributor as a partner to Hamburg Messe.

CHRISTIAN MÜLLER-RIEKER,

PHOTOPIA in Hamburg, the location of our Calumet headquarters. When a big photo event starts here, we are of course particularly pleased! And of course Calumet simply belongs to the scene of photographers and videographers.

RICHARD GLATZEL,
Managing Director Calumet Photographic GmbH

Why do we participate? ...because we are not just the contact for everything to do with photography in everyday life, but are naturally also in the middle of the action where passionate photo enthusiasts and the world's biggest photo brands meet. We are convinced that the new festival & trade fair concept of PHOTOPIA in Hamburg will bring all this together in one place. Together we will make the heart of photography beat faster.

ANABEL ERHARDT,
CEO, Foto Erhardt GmbH

I'm thoroughly delighted that Hamburg is getting one more contemporary photo trade fair after the Photokina in Cologne no longer exists. The photogenic Elbe metropolis and media city is just the right location for a photo event with new ideas, exhibitions, photo walks and workshops.

SVEN STEMAN,
Managing Director, IPS. Fotohandel

Why are we involved? Because it is important! Why is it important? Because we have been part of the image-creating culture with pleasure and with great commitment since 1961. PHOTOPIA gives us the space and the opportunity to exchange ideas again, to learn and to show that we feel at home in the joy of image making with our lighting systems.

ROMAN HOFFMANN,
Dedo Weigert Film GmbH

We're participating in PHOTOPIA Hamburg because the concept of a festival, classic trade fair, event and the many great new ideas developed by the team around PHOTOPIA has created the basis for a new leading trade fair for photography.

AXEL MÜLLER,
Enjoy your Camera

Why we are there, in short, is that if we were not there, everyone would ask: "Why aren’t you there?" This means that we and our products simply belong to the scene of photographers, galleries and artists. We pursue not only economic but also cultural interests. In addition, we are a Hamburg company.

HEINER HAUCK,
Heiner Hauck Portfolios

We are participating because we would like to share our enthusiasm for photography and the nonstop joy of high-quality, brilliant photos in a personal exchange with the visitors of PHOTOPIA Hamburg. Therefore, we are looking forward to many interesting conversations with photo retailers, professional photographers and enthusiastic photo amateurs.

DIPL.-ING. THOMAS MÜMKEN,
Managing Director Mümken Sales, Hünxe, European sales of Noritsu minilab instruments

It was the iconic photographs of Elliott Landy that created a milestone in pop culture out of the Woodstock Festival. We are proud to support the congenial interaction between music and image together with PHOTOPIA .

Thomas Mehls Vorstand Marketing & neue Geschäftsfelder CEWE

After a long break, we are especially looking forward to the opportunity to exchange ideas with our customers in person at PHOTOPIA. At last, the haptic sensual experience of photography is possible again: when we present our photo products, the main thing is to be able to really take photo memories in your hands and feel them. We are proud of our CEWE Truck, which makes this possible in a new form at PHOTOPIA. Dear PHOTOPIA, we are very much looking forward to a new and exciting concept. Let's share the enthusiasm for photos with all our fans!

Thomas Mehls
CEWE Board Member Marketing & New Business CEWE

For us, PHOTOPIA is an inspiring event format with a mix of product and service innovations, hands-on opportunities and expert insights! A sympathetic festival, where we can bring closer with Voigtländer not only the pure brand and product presentation, but also the diverse handling of our lenses. We are very happy to be part of it for the first time this year.

Thilo Röhrig,
CEO Ringfoto Gruppe

We are in! With our broad expertise in the field of repairs and maintenance of kiosk system training and sales, we would like to support the photo industry very much and look forward to many customer contacts at PHOTOPIA. We bring a lot of innovations and ideas to PHOTOPIA which we have developed for our customers in the last months. The new start for our business partners with these many new products like our smartphone station are new very important revenue generators.
