Summer, sun, party music. It all started on Ibiza. As a 15-year-old, David Puentez made his first contacts with DJs during a family holiday on the party island. Three years later, the native of Heilbronn started his own steep career as a DJ. Today, he is one of the best-known musicians and music producers and fills large arenas at home and abroad with his beats. His singles "No Matter What" and "LaLaLife" landed at number 1 in the Top 100 iTunes charts, and his summer hit "Superstar" was streamed over 64 million times on Spotify alone. "Pünti" has also long been an Instagram star with 178,000 followers.

PHOTOPIA: David, you are a well-known face in social media: What is the importance of Instagram for you?
David Puentez: Instagram is a lot of fun and joy for me personally, I want to be the MOOD BOOSTER for my community, to put a smile on the face of as many people as possible throughout the day. Simply with "good mood" content for everyday life or when you're not feeling so good.
PHOTOPIA: How did you develop your visual profile there?
David Puentez: I never really had a plan! It just happens. The more spontaneous and authentic the better! But a certain basic activity is important. Regular stories and three to four postings a week.
PHOTOPIA: What do you have to do to become successful in social media?
David Puentez: Be yourself and don't play a role. Do your thing and do it as well as you can!
PHOTOPIA: Do you earn money with your posts?
David Puentez: Yes, I always try to include as little advertising as possible and produce them as entertaining as possible. Personally, I like to look at well-made and funny advertisements and often get inspiration from them.
PHOTOPIA: What other social media are important to you today?
David Puentez: YouTube and TikTok.

PHOTOPIA: What are your expectations for PHOTOPIA?
David Puentez: I haven't been there myself yet. All the more reason for me to look forward to many new impulses and ideas from the world of images at this "Festival of Imaging".
