Trulyscene Artbox - Auto-Painting Plugin

The new Trulyscene Artbox plugin, developed in cooperation between Picture Instruments and Photoscena, offers an easy-to-use and fast process to turn photos into the look of painted images.

„Alles begann vor etwa zehn Jahren, als ich in PPhotoshop has included software-based brushes for almost as long as the program has existed. When Adobe introduced brush features, it created its own industry dedicated to independently developing and selling new brushes and textures for digital artists. But as capabilities increased, sophistication grew, and scope expanded, complexity became a significant burden for users.
"It all started about ten years ago when I started experimenting with macros - called "actions" by Adobe - in Photoshop," recalls John Stevenson, Photoscena's founder. "I was skeptical at first that creative image transformations could be done with automated routines. But over time, I was able to refine my "auto-sketching" and "auto-painting" actions so that they now cover a wide range of results. And then I hit Picture Instruments," he adds.
"At the time John first contacted us, Picture Instruments was playing a leading role in the early development of Adobe's new Universal Extensibility Platform (UXP)," says Robin Ochs, the company's general manager. "We were confident we could integrate cumbersome actions into a unified UXP-based plugin. The rapid implementation of the project was made possible by support from the Adobe Fund for Design." The launch of Trulyscene Artbox confirms that UXP technology is mature and fully supports multifunctional plugins for Photoshop. Our development work will enable unique creative results for a wide range of new and existing Photoshop subscribers."
The Trulyscene Artbox plugin produces results in four simple steps. The 48 different brush and effect settings included in the plugin can be combined to transform an image. Each time you use the plugin, it creates individual brush strokes so that no two images are alike. By accessing each individual layer, you can continue working non-destructively.
The Trulyscene Artbox plugin for Photoshop costs $39 net (depending on the EUR/USD exchange rate, about 43 euros including VAT). Trulyscene Artbox can be managed in Photoshop version 22 or later directly within Photoshop and installed via the Creative Cloud desktop app marketplace.hotoshop anfing mit Makros – von Adobe „Aktionen“ genannt – zu experimentieren“, erinnert sich John Stevenson, der Gründer von Photoscena.
