Nikon NIKKOR Z 400 mm 1:4,5 VR S

Nikon announces the NIKKOR Z 400 mm f/4.5 VR S in mid-July as the new Z-series super-tele, featuring lightweight and compact dimensions.

Weighing in at approximately 1245g and with an overall length of 234.5mm, the NIKKOR Z 400mm f/4.5 VR S is a handy and rugged supertele.
Nikon's optical image stabilizer built into the lens provides up to six stops longer handheld exposure times when used with the Z 9. The f/4.5 speed offers plenty of opportunities to be creative with the available light. The autofocus works very quickly, precisely and particularly quietly. In addition, this super telephoto lens supports the use of Z teleconverters, so the focal length can be extended to 560 mm or 800 mm.
Nikon's Nano Crystal Coat significantly reduces ghosting and flare. Super ED, ED and SR glass grades control chromatic aberration from the center of the image to the edges.

Lens design places the lens' center of gravity closer to the camera body, making it easier to track, pan and stop. The controls are fully customizable. Functions can be assigned to the L function button and the silent adjustment ring. The memory button can be used to store distance settings. Weather sealing protects both the lens and the transition to the camera. Nikon's fluorine coating protects the front lens and makes cleaning easier.
The NIKKOR Z 400 mm f/4.5 VR S is expected to be available in stores from mid-July 2022 at a suggested retail price of €3,699.
