CEWE: Truck on photo festival tour

As the leading photo service provider in Europe, CEWE is once again the official premium partner of numerous photo festivals this year. Many events at which CEWE will be present are on the program until November.

The CEWE Truck with a presentation area of more than 70 sqm and a roof terrace of another 20 sqm will also give photo enthusiasts an insight into the CEWE world. The agenda for 2023 includes the environmental photo festival "horizonte zingst", the photo summit Oberstdorf, Photopia Hamburg, the Wunderwelten Festival Friedrichshafen and the Fernweh Festival in Erlangen. CEWE was also present as a premium partner with the CEWE Truck at the Fürstenfeld Nature Photo Days in mid-April.
It has already been more than 110 years since Carl Wöltje founded the "Photographische Anstalt" and thus laid the foundation stone for today's CEWE Foundation. Since then, photographic culture has been inextricably interwoven with the corporate culture and has been an essential part of the Oldenburg-based company. At CEWE, this includes various projects such as photo exhibitions, photo competitions and the multi-day photo festivals that inspire amateur and professional photographers alike. As the organizer of the CEWE Photo Award, the company regularly calls on photography enthusiasts from all over the world to submit their most beautiful motifs. Last time, for example, a total of 606,289 photographs were submitted, making this competition the largest of its kind in the world. "As a company, we stand for photography in all its facets and, above all, for the joy of capturing great moments as emotion in pictures, thus creating more than just a reflection of reality. We are pleased to be an active part of the diverse photo festivals in Germany again this year," says Bastian Freese from the Photo Culture Marketing department at CEWE.
Five days before the festival starts, the CEWE truck is already on its way to Zingst. At this year's Environmental Photo Festival, everything revolves around the theme of "Flora". From June 7 to 11, exhibitions, photo workshops, and live lectures will focus on the green and colorful world of plants and their significance for human life. The vastness of the theme is also reflected in the location, as the wide-ranging program will extend from galleries on the festival grounds to the Baltic Sea beach.
Under the motto "Family Reunion", CEWE will come together with numerous renowned photographers, Claudia Roth, the State Minister for Culture and Media, and many photography enthusiasts at the Oberstdorf Photo Summit from June 28 to July 02 to celebrate photo culture. At the CEWE House of Photography, workshops will be held on topics such as an image processing workshop on black-and-white images or a Lightroom Classic crash course. You have to be quick here, because the places for course participation are limited.
"Share your Vision" is also this year's call for the great and futuristic thinking of Photopia Hamburg. The diverse program offers professionals, amateur photographers and all other visitors a variety of inspiration and numerous formats for exchange, meeting and networking. Under the umbrella of the PHOTOPIA Academy, workshops and photowalks invite participants to learn new techniques and enhance their own creativity. On two stages, the festival presents a lineup with the "Who is Who" from photography, videography, art and social media. As a premium partner, CEWE is also an important part of the festival, which takes place from September 21 to 24 in the exhibition halls in Hamburg. From November 3 to 5, the red CEWE truck will be on the shores of Lake Constance at the Wunderwelten Festival in Friedrichshafen. However, the photo culture is not only intended to bring photo enthusiasts together, but also to broaden the perspective of the participants: the colorful program includes, for example, a live report with Bruno Maul and Pascal Violo, who will give insights into their voluntary work as helpers in various refugee camps on the edges of Europe in the Augustinum Heidelberg. There will also be numerous photography courses and lectures that will broaden horizons in more ways than one.
From November 15 to 19, 20 top-class multivision lectures, workshops and seminars on the topics of photography, travel and expedition will take place in the course of the Fernweh Festival Erlangen. The range of topics is broad: it's off on horseback through Kyrgyzstan, around the world by bike and through Saudi Arabia by Couchsurfing. CEWE will also be on site with a booth to share creative photo moments that awaken wanderlust and to immerse oneself in photo culture.
