8th Triennale of Photography Hamburg 2022: Portfolio Review

The Friends of the Haus der Photographie e.V. together with FUTURES invites 40 photographers to the international portfolio review "Friends of Photography" as part of the 8th Triennale of Photography.

The young professionals will present their work to 15 photography experts on 4 June 2022 and receive valuable feedback. The "Best Portfolios" will be awarded at the final screening at the follow up/FUTURES Day at PHOXXI, the temporary House of Photography of the Deichtorhallen Hamburg. FUTURES is a platform for photography with a growing network of performing photography institutions across Europe.
40 aspiring photographers can apply for participation until 14th of April to receive advice and networking opportunities from the experts from art, media, science, advertising and consulting as well as international actors of the 8th Triennale. The international viewers and the young professionals will come together for an intensive exchange at eye level.

The photographers and viewers will get to know each other in the morning during the presentations and a get-together. Afterwards, they will have in-depth individual discussions on the topics of portfolio presentation, positioning of the work and individual questions. Afterwards, an open portfolio walk will expand the exchange between all participants and other Triennale guests. The viewers also form the "Best Portfolio" jury and select their favourite portfolios of the day. The crowning event will be the awarding and screening of the "Best Portfolio" winners together with this year's follow up talents. Everyone is cordially invited to the closing better together party.
