The bpp opens its Convention 2022 at the Marriott Hotel in Cologne for all professional photographers for the first time. Under the motto RELOADED, several speakers will present a mix of topics from photography, psychology, work philosophy and creativity.
Photographer Jim Rakete is known for his unique black-and-white photography. His images can be found in major collections and museums. For his life's work, Rakete was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. For many photographers, he has been a role model, a companion and a yardstick for their own work for decades.
Program highlights also include a Live Shooting Battle between Oliver Rust (CH) and Brendan de Clercq (IRL/FRA), talks by commercial and fine art photographer Florian W. Müller, wedding photography experts Carmen & Ingo, and digital content pro Daniel Zoll.
During the live shooting battle, Rust and de Clercq will show how a concept for an eye-catcher is created and can be practically implemented. The audience will be involved in the individual steps and accompany the way from the idea, the concept, the model selection, the order to the make-up artist, to the light setting and the posing of the model.
In addition, numerous suppliers from the photo industry will be exhibiting at the bpp Convention, including Canon, Nikon, Manfrotto, Sony, Profoto and Olympus.
Says Jeanette Niermann of the bpp, "It's time for the industry to meet again at our gathering of the bpp community as well as all interested portrait photographers for sharing, networking and education."
